What is Pennant?
Pennant is a structured competition format in lawn bowls, where teams compete against each other in a series of matches over a season. These matches typically take place on weekends and provide a fantastic opportunity to showcase your skills while enjoying the social aspects of the game.
Competition Structure
Teams: Each team usually consists of four players (or pairs, triples, etc., depending on the format). Players work together to accumulate points in each match.
Matches: Teams compete in a series of games, usually against other clubs within the same league. The format may vary, including home and away matches.
Scoring: Points are awarded based on match outcomes, with teams earning points for wins, draws, and overall performance. The team with the highest points at the end of the season is declared the champion.
